HENRY
DAVID THOREAU 1817-1862
Mr. Thoureau was known for his beliefs in Americanism in which
he comprised in his work. Old World charm is the key to his
room with a queen-size bed adorned with a hand sewn quilt, original
wide board Chestnut flooring, a private bath, a fireplace
and two queen Anne chairs. |

NATHANIEL
HAWTHORNE 1804-1864
A queen size bed with a floral bed spread, fireplace and private
bath greet you as you enter this room named after the American
Novelist who wrote The Scarlet Letter. Also, beautiful
inlaid hardwood flooring and walls stenciled in a rose boarder
completes this room. |

HERMAN
MELVILLE 1819-1891
This room is named after an American novelist and major literary
figure who dedicated his greatest masterpiece Moby Dick to
his friend Nathaniel Hawthorne. Often used as the Bridal Suite,
this room is the perfect setting for that special night. It
features a queen-size crocheted canopy bed with a rose pattern
spread, private bath, balcony and a "Real Flame"
fireplace. |

EMILY
DICKINSON 1830-1886
A queen size bed is set in a beautiful shuttered bay window
forming a natural canopy. Gaze out this window at the tree
tops showing off its Fall colors. You may just want to cuddle
up on the bed while reading one of Emily's poems while you
are warmed by the fireplace. Your private bath is located
a short distance across the hall but we do provide a pedestal
sink in your room and two crisp white bathrobes.

TWAIN 1835-1910
Mr. Twain or otherwise known as Samuel Langhorne Clemens was
once a Connecticut resident. A white washed pencil post canopy
bed that even Tom Sawyer may have enjoyed painting is adorned
with a quilted, patchwork coverlet. This room also has a beautiful
bay window, a gas run fireplace, and a private bath with a
standard size whirlpool tub. |

FROST 1874-1962
A Tuft of Flowers a poem by Robert Frost sets the mood
for this beautifully appointed room. This room provides you
with a queen size pencil post canopy bed and yellow trim to
accent the sunflower boarder that surrounds the room. Other
amenities include a corner gas run fireplace, and a private
bath with a standard size whirlpool tub. |

BEECHER STOWE 1811-1896
Once a Connecticut resident, Mark Twains neighbor and the
author of Uncle Tom's Cabin this authors room is adorned with
a white washed pencil post canopy bed with a pink and blue
rose bed spread. This room also provides you with a private
bath, a floral stencil boarder, two queen Anne chairs and
a "Real Flame" fireplace. |

MAY ALCOTT 1832-1888
Modern country charm abounds in this room with a Queen-size
hunter green pencil post canopy bed covered in a patchwork
quilt of peach and pale green. A private bath , ivy stenciling,

this room from the author who wrote Little Women. |

Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the time of arrival,
if less than 48 hours you will be charged for a full night stay.
No shows will be charged for the entire reservation being held.
