The Herman Melville Room |
This room is named after Herman Melville (1819-1891), an American novelist and major literary figure who dedicated his greatest masterpiece, Moby Dick, to his friend Nathaniel Hawthorne. The Herman Melville room is often used as the romantic Bridal Suite and features a queen-size crocheted canopy bed, private bath, the only room with a balcony overlooking the quiet side yard, and a "Real Flame" fireplace. This room can be used as a suite when adjoined to the Sitting Room and the Emily Dickinson guest room. |
